It is with great sadness that the family of Virginia Marie Roarabaugh announces her passing on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the age of 67 years.
Virginia will be lovingly remembered by her children, Donald, Clarissa (Thomas), and Matthew (Terra), and her grandchildren, SeAnn, Justin, Kaydance, and Sebastian. She will also be forever remembered by her two sisters, Patricia (Leslie) and Mary (David).
Virginia was a well-respected computer engineer who enjoyed traveling and gardening.  Her interest in genealogy led to Virginia becoming a contributing member of the Daughters of the American Revolution which you can only join if you prove a lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.
Virginia was also a contributing member and frequent volunteer of The Wild Center in Tupper Lake.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Virginia will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11 a.m., at the St. Remy Reformed Church, 534 Main Street, St. Remy, N.Y., with Rev. David Brechter officiating. Internment will follow in her plot next to her parents at St. Remy Cemetery.

Anne Marie Lewis, 52

Anne Marie Lewis, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Albany Medical Center.   She was born in Lincoln, NE and then her family settled in Elmira, N.Y., where she grew up.  Anne Marie made her way to the Adirondacks after receiving her undergraduate degree from Elmira College and her masters degree from Ithaca College.
She was a Speech Language Pathologist at the L.P. Quinn Elementary School.  Anne Marie had a true passion for her work and she made a huge impact on the lives of so many children and those who worked with her.  She led the LPQ’ers – PTO for many years and worked tirelessly to ensure every event was a huge success. She never disappointed.  She was a representative for the teacher’s retirement system, NYSTRS, and the treasurer of the teacher’s union, TLUT.
Anne Marie was also an active community member, holding a seat on the Piercefield Board of Assessment Review and in years past serving as an AEMT with the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad.
She is survived by her loving family, her husband, Jack, her son, Alexander and her beloved, Lila.  She also leaves behind her parents, Dr. Lawrence and Theresa Stephens; her brother, Dr. Mark (Astrid) Stephens; her sister, Susan (Mark) Taylor; her mother-in-law, Marie Lewis; her in-laws Bob (Cindy) Lewis, Natalie (Ed) McMahon, Monica (Steve) Gagnon, Heather Naegele, Tracy (Jerry) Fletcher, Alison (Clint) Hollingsworth; and many nieces and nephews.
Those of you that knew Anne Marie, knew she loved her family without measure.  She had life-long friends she cherished and above all, she loved a good glass of wine, good food, good company and her nights under the stars with Jack.
To honor her wishes there will be no calling hours or services.  The family respectfully request privacy during this difficult time and ask that you celebrate the life of Anne Marie in a way that holds a special meaning for you.

Theresa Provost, 93

Mrs. Theresa Jane Provost, 93, passed away on Sunday, May 20 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake, NY with her son, Paul, by her side.
Theresa was born February 6, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Earl Arthur and Laura (Harvey) LaRouche. Theresa graduated from Tupper Lake High School as Valedictorian of her class, and later attended the Ogdensburg Business School. Theresa worked at Sunmount and later alongside her husband, Roy Provost, in the family’s accounting firm.
Theresa and Roy enjoyed many activities together, including dancing, canoeing, traveling and skiing. Theresa was very active within the Catholic Church, Business and Professional Women’s Club, Boy Scouts of America and many other organizations. Theresa will always be remembered for her love of family, friends, and God; and also, for her great sense of humor and wit.
Theresa is survived by her son Thomas and his wife Marcia of Loveland, CO; her son Paul of Tupper Lake; daughter-in-law Francis of New Haven, CT; six grandchildren: Shelley, Stephan, Joseph, Chris, Megan, and Tony; many great grandchildren; and nephews Mike Provo and David Farnsworth.
Theresa is predeceased by her husband Roy Provost, her eldest son Peter Provost of New Haven, CT, her daughter-in-law Susan Provost of Tupper Lake  and sister-in-law Linda Provo.
There will not be calling hours, but a Mass of Christian burial will be held on June 2 at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Christopher James Drabick, 58, of Lake Placid, formerly of Tupper Lake passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born on August 28, 1959 he was the son of John and Ruth (Miller) Drabick of Ghent, N.Y.
Chris attended Hudson High School and Tupper Lake High School.
He worked for Day Wholesale for the past 20 years and enjoyed delivering and being a salesman on occasion. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
His first marriage was to Leisa Laflamme. They had two daughters, Jessica and Kristi Drabick.  Leisa passed away on November 3, 1998.
He later married Lillian Farnsworth and they had three sons, Chris Jr., Johnny and Timmy Drabick.
He is survived by his children, Jessica, Kristi, Chris Jr., Johnny, and Timmy, several grandchildren, nieces, nephews. He is also survived by his four brothers, John, Tim, Peter, and Mike and a sister Lisa.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 19 at the VFW where many of his friends and family gathered to share their memories. Christopher will be greatly missed by so many.

Lucy E. (Wilson) Dukett, 98

Lucy E. (Wilson) Dukett, 98
Lucy Evelyn Wilson Dukett, 98, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at her home in Sykesville, Maryland.
Born February 16, 1920 in Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Earnest and Clara (Vondell) Wilson. She spent most of her life as a resident of Saranac Lake, New York.
For many years Mrs. Dukett worked at Saranac Lake’s Will Rogers Hospital in various positions, then later at the Saranac Lake General Hospital (Adirondack Medical Center). Following her graduation from the North Country Community College she worked in their library. In her youth she was a girl scout and later was an assistant leader. She was also a charter member of Saranac Lake’s Women's Civic Chamber and a volunteer for over two decades at the Adirondack Medical Center.
Mrs. Dukett was a member of the Church of St. Luke in Saranac Lake. Her pastimes and hobbies included cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, and camping. Lucy enjoyed traveling throughout the United States via trains, planes, and automobiles including two cross country train excursions while in her seventies.
She was predeceased by her husband Herbert Mitchel Dukett to whom she was married from 1936 until his passing in 2006. In 1956 she was predeceased by a daughter, Evelyn Nancy. Three sisters, Gladys Simpson, Lillian Johnson, and Florence Woodward and five brothers, Norman, Walter, Wilbur, Clarence and Lloyd Wilson also predeceased her.
Mrs. Dukett is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Patricia and Luman Rockhill of Sykesville, M.D., Denise and Michael Caselli of Canandaigua, N.Y. and Michele and David Boyea of Tupper Lake. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law- G. Louise Gardner and Florence Wilson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church Street, Saranac Lake, N.Y. Thursday, May 24 from 7 p.m. to 9p.m. and Friday, May 25 from 10a.m. to 11a.m. with a Celebration of Life at 11:15a.m. Burial will follow immediately at North Elba Cemetery, 76 Old Military Rd, Lake Placid, N.Y.

Jean Diana Dippman Cobb Williams , 96

Jean Diana Dippman Cobb Williams, 96, of Tupper Rd., passed away Tuesday morning, May 15, 2018 at her home.
She was born on May 6, 1922 in Chicago, IL to John Frank and Jean Lucille Dippman.
She was a graduate of Woods Business School and Powers Modeling School, both of New York City. She married Allen Cobb, Jr. on September 7, 1943.
Jean had worked as a private secretary as well as a clothing and photography model up to the birth of her first child in 1948. She then settled in as a homemaker and stay-at-home mother doing volunteer work for her church, school and town.
She moved to Long Lake from Cresskill, N.J. upon Allen’s retirement in 1979. Allen died on July 6, 1996. Six years after his death, she married Richard Williams on May 4, 2002.
As in Cresskill, she continued volunteer work for the church and the town, working at the visitors’ center in Newcomb, serving as secretary and board member for AARP, secretary and president to UMW of Calvary Methodist Church as well as secretary to the ministers. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Home Bureau, and Northern Needles.
Her parents and one brother, John F. Dippman, Jr., predeceased her. Her first husband Allen died on July 6, 1996. Her second husband Richard died on February 16, 2017. Her stepdaughter, Maureen Pfingst died April 12, 2018.
Survivors include her sons: Bruce Allen Cobb and his wife Nancy of Northvale, N.J. and Glenn Allen Cobb and his wife Mary Pugliese Cobb of Blairstown, N.J.; two grandchildren: Nicholas Allen Cobb and Ian Patrick Cobb; one nephew: Russell Dippman; one niece: Jill Dippman; stepson: Christopher Williams and his children, as well as Maureen’s children.
Friends were invited to call Monday, May 21, from 4- 7 p.m. at the Calvary United Methodist Church, Long Lake.
Funeral services were conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 22 at the church. Burial will be in Long Lake Cemetery.

Christopher A. Kmack, 64
Christopher A. Kmack, 64, of North Kingstown, died Monday, April 30, 2018 at South County Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was the husband of Kathleen J. (DeMarco) Kmack.
Born in Tupper Lake,  he was the son of John Kmack and Genevieve (Salamy) Kmack who predeceased him.
Mr. Kmack was employed as a recreation supervisor at the Bridgewater State Prison until his retirement.
He was a graduate of Biscayne College where he earned his bachelors degree in physical education.
Christopher was an avid sports fan and loved the Rhode Island coastline. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Chris was fortunate to have his sister, Mary Kay living nearby. She was his angel, providing unwavering support to him as his health deteriorated in recent years.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his two loving children: Joseph H. Kmack and Kimberly Kmack of Fall River. He was the cherished grandfather of Aliyah, Skylar and Somiyah.
He is also survived by his sister Mary K. Kmack Smith of North Kingstown, two brothers, Stephen Kmack of North Kingstown, and Michael Kmack of Tupper Lake..
A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, May 8 at 11 a.m. at the Cranston-Murphy funeral home of Wickford, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown.
Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to the American Heart Association will be appreciated.

Theresa Regina Riley, 90
Theresa Regina Riley 90, of 29 Lincoln Drive, Tupper Lake died Saturday May 5, 2018 at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.
Born in Faust, N.Y. on October 25, 1927, the daughter of Albert and Regina (Corrow) Trombley.
She married John Riley on October 7, 1950 at Holy Name Church in Faust, New York.
Theresa graduated from Tupper Lake High School. She would often sing at mass as a young girl.
Theresa worked at Altamont Dairy where she met her husband “Jack.”
In the early 1960’s they took over the box style diner (Miss Tupper Diner) and the little restaurant became a legend in the Adirondacks. Town folk and tourists alike visited the diner for a home-cooked meal and a little gossip.
Teasing of customers was served in plentiful portions, as was the delicious food.
In 1975 Theresa and Jack leased the Tupper Lake Country Club which they called The 19th Hole & Lounge for the summer months. Then in the winter they leased the bar and concession stand at the Big Tupper Ski Slope.
Her hobbies included knitting, Bingo, playing cards with Jack and spending time with family.
She is survived by her four children, Lynn (William) Casey of South Glens Falls, N.Y., Michael (Rose Marie) Riley of Daytona Beach, FL, Mary T (Lee) Kohn of Bonduel, WI, and Cynthia (Scot) Dukett of Tupper Lake. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren and one more on the way. Theresa is also survived her brother Robert Trombley of Star Lake and a sister-in-law Mary Jane Kennedy of Tupper Lake.
She is predeceased by her husband John (Jack), her grandson Ryan Riley, and a great-grand daughter Eden Doane, and her furry companion Gus.

Linda Provo (Fettes)
Linda Provo, 74, passed away at CVPH in Plattsburgh on April 19th following a short illness. Born September 1, 1943 in Lincoln, MI, she was the daughter of Orville and Evelyn (McGillis) Fettes.
She was a graduate of Tupper Lake High class of 1962 and went on to attend the Watertown school of commerce.
On May 27, 1976, she married Victor Provo. Linda was very active in the Tupper Lake community belonging to many local groups- Business and Professional women's Club serving as President in 2007-2008, Tupper Lake Fire Dept Auxiliary, Rotary Club and was a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award and the New York Women Inc.
Linda enjoyed crocheting, spending time with family and friends, doing crossword puzzles and being involved in civic groups. She treasured her fur babies, Zoey , Tiny and Roxy. She loved to travel with the BPW functions and sharing these experiences with the wonderful group of women whom she called friends. She recently became a big fan of DIY shows on TV and would watch whenever they were on. Her friend Mary, got her watching The Young and the Restless and this became a ritual between the two.
She is survived by her son Michael of Tupper Lake, one brother Richard and his wife Sue of Utica, a niece Kelly DeWolfe and her husband Todd of Munnvsville, a nephew Dean Fettes and his fiancé Michele Gifford of Clinton and great nieces and nephews. Linda was pre-deceased by her parents and by her husband, Victor in 1987.
At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations are asked to be made in her name to the Tri-Lakes Humane society In Saranac Lake or the Potsdam Humane Society in Potsdam.

Diane M. Shaut, 59

Diane M. (Carriere) Shaut, 59, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, April 27, 2018. She was a resident of East Nassau, N.Y.
Born in Tupper Lake on February 7, 1959, she was the daughter of Germain and Adrienne Carriere.
Diane is survived by her loving husband of 38 years David Shaut, her loving children, Elizabeth DePatie (Jeff), and William Shaut; her mother Adrienne Carriere, her brother Andre Carriere, sister Louise Dupuis (Mark), all of Tupper Lake. Diane is also survived by her brother Michel Carriere (Dora) of Plattsburgh, N.Y. and by her nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Christopher D. Shaut and her father, Germain Carriere.
Diane and her husband served together as pastors of New Hope of Life Ministries in Nassau, N.Y. She impacted many people in all walks of life, sharing the love and compassion of her savior Jesus Christ. At New Hopes' food pantry, the Gathering Place, Diane loved to interact with customers, praying with and encouraging all who crossed her path. She was a source of support to those in her church family, and her bubbly personality was infectious, always lifting the spirits of those she came in contact with.
Calling hours are going to be on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 10a.m. to 12p.m. at New Hope of Life Ministries, 6 Fairgrounds St, Nassau, N.Y. 12123. Service immediately following. Internment will be at Horizon View Cemetery in Castleton, N.Y.

Rocco V. D'Onofrio, 93

Rocco V. D'Onofrio, 93
Rocco V. D'Onofrio, 93, of Tupper Lake died last week.
Born in Utica on December 15, 1924 Rocco was veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army with the 820th Tank Destroyer battalion until he was captured at the Battle of the Bulge on December 17, 1944. He was a prisoner of war until April 1945 when he escaped and made it to the U.S. front lines.
After returning  from service Rocco married  Gloria Demartino and together had two daughters, Arlene and Sally. They lived in Whitesboro, N.Y. for many years. He later was married to Alice Crippen and together they purchased the Emperial Motel in 1974 and moved to Tupper Lake and operated the motel for eleven years.
Rocco was employed by three different liquor companies and retired in 1994.
Mr. D'Onofrio was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., Disabled American Veterans, American Ex-Prisoner of War, Loyal Order of the Moose and the Eagles. He loved hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.
Rocco is survived by two children; Mrs. Arlene Cheyne and husband James of Marcy and Sally A. D'Onofrio of Marcy, stepdaughter, Joyce Vollmer of Tupper Lake, grandchildren; James C. Cheyne and his wife Dawn and Courtney Parry, both of Marcy as well as three great-granddaughters. He was pre-deceased by his wife Alice and stepdaughter Donna Tompkins of Arizona.
Calling hours were scheduled for Sunday, April 29 from 2 p.m. to 4p.m., with a service at 4p.m. at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake.
A gathering followed at the VFW Post 3120. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery in Utica, at noon Monday April 30th with full military honors.

Jane Goostray Bissell

Jane Goostray Bissell, 88, of Long Lake,  passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018 at home with her family by her side.
She was born on December 7, 1929 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Reverend Frank and Eva (Magennis) Goostray.
She attended Northfield Mount Hermon School in Northfield, MA, Simmons College in Boston, MA and graduated from Cornell University New York Hospital School of Nursing in 1952.
In 1954 she entered the Episcopalian Community of St. Mary, then in Peekskill, N.Y., now in Greenwich, N.Y. and remained a nun until she left the convent in March of 1968.
In 1968 she worked as an Assistant Minister at the Episcopal Parish of the Epiphany in Winchester, Massachusetts. During that time Jane reconnected with Tom Bissell who she had known while working in hospitality services at Endion in Long Lake when she was 16 years old.
Jane and Tom were married August 31, 1968 at Briarwood Conference Center on Cape Cod.
Throughout her life, Jane was passionate about her work, volunteering, interests, and helping others. Jane set up an infant unit at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children in Bayside, Queens, was assistant director of St. Mary’s in the Field, a residential treatment facility for adjudicated adolescent girls; painted radical works around social justice themes; and worked with teenage church groups.
While in the Adirondacks Jane was the first executive director of High Peaks Hospice; served on the Hamilton County Community Services Board; was a member of the Long Lake Rescue Squad and an appointed Marriage Officer for the Town of Long Lake. Jane served many years as Warden of the Church of the Transfiguration in Blue Mountain Lake.
Jane and Tom enjoyed traveling, making several trips to Egypt, Mexico and other exotic lands. Jane was an accomplished calligrapher and artist. Jane was a member the Northern Needles Quilt Group and sewed countless intricate, colorful and beautiful quilts, jackets, vests and other unique works of art.
Jane is survived by her husband Thomas Bissell, beloved son Thomas T. Bissell, Jr, and daughter Christine Campeau, sister Margaret Goostray, nieces Marion Ober, Alice Bissell and Goddaughters Victoria Verner Sandiford and Alexandra Verner Roalsvig.
In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her beloved son Timothy on November 29, 2010.
Visitation will be Friday, May 4, 2018, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Henry's Parish Center with a funeral mass at 1 p.m. at St. Henry’s Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at the Long Lake Cemetery.

R. Mark Powers

R. Mark Powers entered into eternal life after a brief illness on April 15, 2018.
Mark was born on October 31, 1931 in Tupper Lake. After graduation from Holy Ghost Academy, he enlisted in U.S. Navy and served on the U.S.S. Pittsburgh, a destroyer escort, during the Korean War.
After he was discharged from the Navy, Mark entered Albany Business College where he met his best friend Bill "Uncle Willie" Wohlleber. They enjoyed many years of friendship, especially during their weekly get together on the golf course or at the coffee shop.
In 1958, Mark began working at Lake Electronics. He was very proud to be employed at Lake as general manager for one day shy of 55 years.
Mark enjoyed golfing, camping at Fish Creek Campgrounds, and annual family vacations to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. One of his favorite trips was going to Ireland, where he kissed the Blarney Stone.
Mark had a passion for scouting and was active in Troop 279 in Latham, where he was scoutmaster for many years. Much of Mark's time was also spent on household projects. He was self-taught and developed many diverse skills, such as carpentry and plumbing. He was never afraid to tackle any project that needed to be completed for his family. He was a communicant and an usher at St. Michael's Church in Cohoes.
He is survived by his wife Janet, his sons Joseph (Karen), Robert (Catherine), and Stephen (Cindy), and also his stepsons Scott and Michael (Jillian) Carpentieri. H
He is  also survived by his grandchildren, Robert (Amanda), Stephanie, Victoria, Christopher, Daniel, and Patrick Powers, as well as his step grandchildren Cosimo and Antonia Carpentieri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his first wife, Belva (Guy) Thompson.
Relatives and friends were invited to call Thursday April 19 from 4-7 p.m. at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday April 20 at 9a.m. at St. Michael's Church, 20 Page Avenue, Cohoes.

Interment with military honors will take place in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

Walter “Woody” Woods

Walter “Woody” Woods
Walter (Woody) Woods Jr., 88, passed away Saturday, April 21 surrounded by family at Mercy Living Center. Born in Dickinson Center on April 23, 1929, he was the son of Walter and Bernice (LaVair) Woods.
In 1950 he was married to Anita Gonyea. Walter was a proud veteran of the Korean war serving from 1952-1954 and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze service stars. In 1959, he was employed by N.Y. State and retired in 1985.
He enjoyed restoring old cars and campers, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was a longtime member of the American Legion and the Moose Club. He is survived by his daughter Patricia Beaudette and her husband Sherman, and his grandchildren; Tracy LaFlamme and her partner Matthew Harris, Nicole Logie, Peter Beaudette and his wife Shannon. He also leaves behind his great grandchildren: Kevin Becker, Merryl, Madelyn and Sawyer Logie, Madison Vachon and Jenifer and Ashley Harris.
Woody is also survived by his two sisters, Gail Abare and Trudie Pickering and her husband Leroy; three sisters-in-law, Charlotte Gonyea, Shirley Gonyea and Connie Woods. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anita, his daughter, Donna Latray, two sons, David and Ricky and two grandchildren; Wendy and Wesley Lanthier along with his two brothers, James and Lester.
There will be no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine church in N. Bangor. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with full military honors.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mercy Living Center Activities dept.

Kay L. Richer, 83

Kay L. Richer, 83, of Liverpool passed away peacefully at home Monday April 9 after a short illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Tupper Lake, NY then moved to the Syracuse area in 1956.
Kay retired from Crouse Hospital in 1996, after which she spent a very active life as a Jehovah’s Witness. She was a very giving person who took great pride and joy in caring for her family and helping those less fortunate.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend always bright eyed and full of fun. She was predeceased by her son Timothy, sisters Beverly LaMere, Claire Richardson and Janice Johnson-Fisk.
Kay is survived by her loving and devoted husband Leonard of 65 years, her sister Betty Coppins, her sons- Leonard (Betsy), Jay, John (Karyn), Richard (Lynne), her daughters- Sharon Richer, Cindy (William) Mack, Susan (David) Picarel, Christi (Anthony) Mangano and Theresa Richer,
She also had 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been made with Sears Middleton Jones There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held Friday April 13 at 3 p.m. at the Clay Fire Department Rt. 31 Clay, NY

Blanche Marie LeBlanc

Blanche Marie LeBlanc
Blanche Marie LeBlanc, 92, a long-time resident of Tupper Lake from 1949 to 2009, and an eight year resident of Hudson Pointe at Riverdale Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Bronx, N.Y, died peacefully on March 15,2018.
Blanche was born in Sawyerville, Quebec, Canada on December 16, 1925 to parents Oliver and Yvonne Laroche. She immigrated to the U.S. with her parents and brothers and sisters in the mid 1940's.
She married Francis Paul LeBlanc of Tupper Lake in August, 1950 who died in 1994. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jeanne M. LeBlanc and son-in -law, Joseph Rivera of Yonkers, N.Y., loving sister Mary Jane Straub of Tupper Lake, and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Blanche was employed by Sunmount Development Center for 20 years. In addition, many in the community benefited from Blanche's remarkable talents in tailoring and creative dressmaking, especially bridal dresses, adult and children's clothing, and doll clothes. In her retirement, she expressed her creativity through several crafts.
There will be no services. Cremation has taken place. Memorial gatherings will take place in the summer as well as Masses to be announced. Memorial donations may be made to the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad and Tri-lakes Hospice.

Phyllis Foster

Phyllis Foster, 79, of Long Lake passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 31, 2018 at her home following a long illness.
She was born February 21, 1939 in Fulton, NY and was the wife of the late Clarence Foster who pre-deceased her in 2004. She is survived by her three children; Barton (Debbie) Foster of Ransomville, Gregory (Wendy) Foster of Long Lake and Valerie Foster of Schroon Lake. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Calling hours were scheduled April 5  from 11 – 1p.m. at the Wesleyan Church in Long Lake where she was a longtime member. A service followed at 1p.m. and burial will be in the Long lake cemetery. Arrangements are with the Stuart-Fortune-Keough funeral home in Tupper Lake.

Patricia Anne Hathaway, 59 of Tupper Lake passed away on Wednesday March 21, 2018. Born July 6th, 1958 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Carl & Valda (Ryan) Hathaway.
She was a graduate of Saranac Lake High School and served in the Navy in 1980. Upon leaving the Navy, she worked at The Raybrook Federal Prison and then changed careers to care for others at Sunmount.
Patty is survived by her father Carl Hathaway of Tupper Lake, sister Judy Phillips of Plattsburgh, her son Curtis & Victoria Switzer of Tupper Lake, son Travis Switzer of Glens Falls, Niece Dove Phillips and Dan Infantino of Plattsburgh 2 great nieces Sage & Piper & her three Angels (Grandchildren) Jenna, Averie and Noah. She is preceded by her mother Valda. Amongst being a mother and grandmother she was the neighborhood mom.

Steven C. Phelps, 51, passed away at CVPH in Plattsburgh with his family by his side on March 10, 2018. Steven leaves behind one son Christian, his mother Gloria Ellen Bombard, brothers; James Phelps and his daughter Sarah, Roy Phelps and his wife Nancy and their children Flecia Tomas, Zackery and Tim, Charles Phelps and his wife Peg and their daughter Nissa of Chateauguay and one sister, Rose Morris and her husband Roy of Cortland. He was pre-deceased by his father, Francis Phelps on December 2, 2003. There will be no calling hours, burial will be in St. Alphonsus cemetery in the spring.
