Nolan E. Charron, 83

Nolan E. Charron, 83,  passed away peacefully at his residence, at Atria Windsor Woods in Hudson Florida, on Sunday July 10, 2016.
Born on September 1, 1932, he was the son of the late Ammory Charon and Frances (Cramer) Charon.
He married Estelle Lavoie in Tupper Lake on August 9, 1958. Together they had four children: Lynn, Audrey, Regis and Neil.
Nolan was a long time resident of Tupper Lake prior to moving to Florida in November 2011.
He served two tours of duty with the military. The first being the Army from 17 years of age from September 1, 1949 to October 1, 1952 and serving overseas in the Korean War, 1 year, 1 month and 7 days until he was honorably discharged from the Army on September 9, 1954. He received a Korean Service Medal with five bronze service stars, a Korean President Unit Citation and a Unit Service Medal. He also served with the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on October 8, 1957, eight years of military service total.
After the military service, Nolan was employed by the VA Hospital in Tupper Lake as a hygiene aide for the veterans. This hospital then converted to a center for the mentally handicapped and was called Sunmount DDSO where Nolan worked as a mental hygiene therapy aide working a total of 30 years or so for both. Nolan retired at the age of 55 in 1987 from the State of New York.
He was a very spiritual man who loved his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, baseball and art.
He leaves behind his wife of nearly 58 years, Estelle, his children: Lynn (Charron) Becker of Dunedion, FL; Audrey Charron of Glens Falls, N.Y., and Regis Charron of Tupper Lake and one sister, Mary (Charon) Fenton of Raleigh NC.
Nolan also has many grandchildren: Jamie (Becker) and Steve Coryea, Ryan and Christin Becker, Michael Becker and Kacie Murphy, Matthew Charron, Andrew Riechert, and Amanda Margine, Nicholas Charron and Kylee, Jennifer Charron and Jesse, Shauna Charron, Kimberly Charron and Franco, Kacie Charron and Ben, Robbie, and Rebecca Sabin. Great-grandchildren Hailey, Collin, Landen and Dylan Becker, Bailey, Peyton, Berlyn, Isabella and Bennett, Owen and Max. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, a son Neil E. Charron who passed away on April 11, 2011, a granddaughter, Richelle and a great-granddaughter Olivia; two sisters, Nancy (Charon) Miner,  Barbara (Charon) Voudren and abrother, Albert Charon.
There will be no ceremony at this time. A service / celebration will be set at a later date, when Nolan’s wife, Estelle, joins him in the next journey per their wishes, as they want a celebration of their lives together.
