James B. LaVergne, 73, of state Rte. 30, Indian Lake, passed away suddenly, Thursday, May 18, 2017.
Born on August 14, 1943 in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Louis C. and Mona E. (Aldous) LaVergne.
Jim was employed at Burke's Marina in Raquette Lake for over 30 years. He loved his work. He also enjoyed fishing, cutting wood on his sawmill and building and was an avid bowler. Jim was on many bowling teams in Tupper Lake.
He is survived by his children, Trisa Rogers of North Carolina, Lisa Rogers of Myrtle Beach, SC, Trevor LaVergne and his wife Angela of Central Square, NY and Debbie Favata of Wisconsin; one sister, Mary LaVergne; one brother, William LaVergne; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There are no calling hours scheduled.
A celebration of Jim's life will take place 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Burke's Marina, Raquette Lake.
