Elizabeth Ann Edwards, 88

Elizabeth Ann Edwards, 88, of Tupper Lake passed away on Saturday March 23rd, 2024 at her home, surrounded by loved ones.

Arrangements are under the care of Frary Funeral Home, Tupper Lake.
Born on January 5th, 1936 in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of Harold Bradley and Hazel (Barber) Bradley. She was affectionately known by all as Betty.

She attended Holy Ghost Academy in Tupper Lake, graduating in 1954. On April 21st, 1956, she married Michael Philip Edwards and together they raised a family
of four boys and four girls. Betty was all about family and was selfless in all
things.

In addition to being a mother to many, she was a Cub Scout Den Leader, a constant volunteer for the Tupper Lake Hockey Association, a loud hockey mom and, later in life, a Home Health Aide nurse. Betty exuded charity, kindness, and a positive attitude every day of her life. She was a problem solver and had to be, raising eight kids of her own and a stand-in parent for others over the years.

Betty is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and her children, Dorie (Jacques) Patry, Denise (Gerald) Beaudette, John (Heather) Edwards, Peter (Nicole) Edwards, Mary (Vaughn) Casagrain, Tina (Andrew) Shaheen and Scott (Pamela) Edwards. She was predeceased by her husband of 58
years, Michael Philip “Phil” Edwards and her son Christopher Philip Edwards.

Calling hours were held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday March 26th at Frary Funeral Home at 24 Cliff Ave. in Tupper Lake.

A Funeral Mass is being held today, March 27, at 1 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake.
