Jennie M. Walter, 84

Jennie M. Walter, 84, of Plattsburgh, New York, passed away on February 14, 2024, in Plattsburgh.

She was born on January 1, 1940, in St. Albans, VT.

Jennie worked most of her life in the healthcare field in various capacities. She was a Certified Nurse’s Aide, Home Health Aide, and later an EKG Tech. Early in life, she worked with the famous knife thrower and sharpshooter Paul Lacross on his Wheel of Death.

In her free time, Jennie volunteered with the American Red Cross, led the sea scouts, and enjoyed camping, fishing, and attending car races.

She is survived by six daughters, Sandra Moran of Johnson, VT, Peggy (Michael) Price, Sheila (William) Madsen both of St. Petersburg, FL, Lee Zweeres of Gulfport, FL, Roxanne Isbister of Johnson, VT, and Ann Hayden of Augusta, KS. Jennie is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, with another expected in May. She is also survived by her companion, Sheldon Boynton of Keeseville, NY, and brother, Roland (Deloras) Bushey of Augusta, KS, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jennie was preceded in death by her son, Jason Duplantie, grandson, Corey Duplantie, parents Howard and Elizabeth (Bellevue) Bushey, and siblings Helen Church, Homer, Harry, and Ida Bushey.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 1 pm St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Tupper Lake, NY.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
